If
you are missing one or more of your teeth, or have been wearing
dentures unsuccessfully, you might be a good candidate for implant
placement. Implants act as root replacements for teeth and are
anchored permanently within the jaw. Usually they are made of
type "4"- hard titaneum metal with an outer surface
that's been designed to help the bone of the
jaw grow to the implant fixture. Implants have been around for
more than 30 years and have a very successful track record. We
have been restoring and replacing teeth with implants since 1983.
We'd love to have you talk to some of our satisfied patients who
have had positive experiences. Planning is essential to good results.
The keys to getting good results with implants lie primarily with
patient selection and a thourough pre-operative plan before surgical
placement.

In many cases a lost tooth can be replaced immediately with an implant at the same time it is extracted. If a tooth or root has no infection present in the surrounding bone, we recommend implant placement over costly or unnecessary bridgework where perfectly healthy teethh on either side of the lost tooth are prepared for crown placement. In complex restorative situations we work closely with our patients to see that they
are referred to a competent oral surgeon who works with us during
all phases, from pre-treatment to post-treatment follow-up. In
order to keep up with current trends in technology and procedures,
Dr. Golden regularly attends continuing education courses dedicated
to implant restoration, and has been a member of two local Southern
California implant study groups; the Inland Implant Study Group
and the Mt. Baldy Study Club, (a division of the SEATTLE
STUDY CLUB).
Continuing education is vital to
maintaining competency.
